Among our clients, there are four types of roaches that most frequently infest homes and businesses. These are characterized by their location. By paying attention to the areas they commonly reside in and their color, you can further identify the genre of cockroach responsible for the infestation. This helps our professionals at All Seasons perfect and personalize our approach.
COMMON WOOD ROACH
This genre of roach are wanderers who primarily live outside unless they amble or get carried into the home. With a flat, oval-shaped body, these roaches can be further identified by their chesnut brown body, long antennae, and spiny legs.
GERMAN COCKROACH
German cockroaches are light brown or tan, and have two black stripes behind their head. Bags, boxes, or cardboard boxes act as great residences for these insects as well as provide transport for them into client's homes. As scavengers, they easily move between units of a home or business by using pipes & plumbing as a highway.
ORIENTAL COCKROACH
Oriental cockroaches are two-toned in color with a dark red and a shiny back. They cannot fly like some roaches, but rather, enter the home beneath doors or gaps beneath siding. Common signs of the oriental roach include their residency of moist, dark and undisturbed places as well as a musty odor.
AMERICAN COCKROACH
The American Cockroach, in contrast with the oriental cockroach, has the ability to fly. It is distinguished by its red-brown, mahogany color, and the yellow band that intricately outlines the back of its head. Primarily, these roaches reside outdoors in warm, damp areas, and enter homes for water or food.
